She graduated from the National College of Fine Art in Koszalin at the Pottery Faculty- Applied Forms. From 1999 she has been working in her own atelier, making exhibitions of her works in the original Gallery of unique ceramic. She works with different ceramic materials. In 2015 the first bronze objects were created. Sculptures of Karolina Szeląg are the essence of the philosophy of her life. Her figures have characteristic oversimplified torsos, tiny, barely marked heads, and heavy shoulders, which stand for the littleness and the magnitude of the human existence. Her works particularly turn the attention of spectators to the relationship between what is animalistic and what is human. They indicate the part of the human being which is filled by instinct.  She has been living and working in Poznań for 6 years, cooperates with galleries in Poland and abroad.

Si è laureata al National College of Fine Art. a Koszalin presso la Facoltà di Ceramica – Forme Applicate. Dal 1999 lavora nel suo atelier, esponendo le sue opere in una originale Galleria  di ceramiche uniche. Lavora con diversi materiali ceramici. Nel 2015 sono stati creati i primi oggetti in bronzo. Le sculture di Karolina Szeląg sono l’essenza della filosofia della sua vita. Le sue figure hanno caratteristici torsi semplicistici, teste minuscole e appena segnate e spalle pesanti, che rappresentano la piccolezza e l’ampiezza dell’esistenza umana. Le sue opere rivolgono in particolare l’attenzione degli spettatori al rapporto tra ciò che è animalesco e ciò che è umano. Indicano la parte dell’essere umano che è riempita dall’istinto. Vive e lavora a Poznań da 6 anni, collabora con gallerie in Polonia e all’estero.
